Designed for Abundance 2

Most times It’s hard to see the kind of abundance God speaks of when you’re right in the middle of unpleasant situations. Rather than seeing things from the right perspective, we begin to see an abundance of stress, of debts, of health issues, of self-doubt and depression and fears about the future—those are all very easy to see.

11 And the Lord shall make you have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of your body, of your livestock, and of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12 The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

  • Deuteronomy 28:11-12
WHAT HAVE YOU PLACED YOUR FOCUS ON?

What you focus on will determine your experience. I recall reading about the emergency that occurred on Apollo 13 – 1970. An explosion in one of the astronauts’ oxygen tanks had not only terminated the mission, but also put their lives at risk. After circling the moon and to return back to Earth, they needed to perform a key course correction. They couldn’t utilize the onboard computer due to power outage, this meant that they would have to pilot the craft manually.

One of the Astronaut onboard the spacecraft – Jim Lovell, calculated that if he pointed the capsule at a fixed position, he could manually control the rocket during the requisite 39-second burst and therefore perform the necessary trajectory correction. He could see Earth through the little window in the capsule, and that became his permanent point of reference. They were able to avert calamity by not losing sight of their destination.

It is not in the amount of faith or the depth or the frequency but in who we have placed your faith in that counts. At all times, God must be our center of focus. He must be our target. He must be our goal. He is the key!  He makes all things happen. The abundance we seek is in HIM
