What We Believe

Our Doctrine

Faith too important
to be vague about

“Doctrine is not just for theologians; it is the foundation for a life well-lived with God.”

— Pastors Mykiel & Ruth Toba

We want you to know exactly what we believe. Below is the doctrinal foundation of God’s Threshing Place the core convictions we hold, the truths we preach, and the beliefs that shape everything we do. These are not new ideas; they are the same truths the church has held through every generation.

01

The Scriptures Are Inspired by God

We believe the Bible – both Old and New Testaments is the Word of God, breathed out by Him, without error, and fully authoritative in everything it teaches. When the Bible speaks, God speaks. It is the final word on faith and how we live.

II Timothy 3:15–17 · I Thessalonians 2:13 · II Peter 1:21

02

There Is One True God

We believe in one God who is eternal, self-existent, and the Creator of all things. He has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit three persons, one God, in perfect unity and love.

03

Jesus Christ Is the Son of God

04

Humanity Fell and Needs Redemption

We believe God created human beings good and in His image. Through Adam’s disobedience, sin entered the world and every person born since carries that broken nature and is separated from God. This is why we needed a Saviour.

05

Salvation Is Available to Everyone

We believe that anyone absolutely anyone who turns to God with genuine repentance and faith in Jesus Christ will be saved. Salvation is not earned or deserved. It is the free gift of God’s grace, received through faith alone.

Ephesians 2:8 · John 3:3 · Romans 10:13–15 · Titus 3:5–7

06

We Observe Baptism and Communion

We practice believer’s baptism by immersion as a public declaration of new life in Christ, and we celebrate Holy Communion together as a memorial of Jesus’ death and a declaration of His coming return.

Matthew 28:19 · Romans 6:4 · I Corinthians 11:26

07

The Holy Spirit Baptises and Empowers Believers

We believe every follower of Jesus is entitled to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, a distinct, empowering experience that equips believers for life and ministry. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are active and available today.

Acts 1:8 · Acts 2:4 · I Corinthians 12:1–31

08

God Calls Us to Holy Living

We believe that followers of Jesus are called to live differently, not perfectly, but progressively more like Him. Sanctification is the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in us, separating us from sin and drawing us closer to God.

Romans 12:1–2 · I Peter 1:15–16 · Hebrews 13:12

09

God Still Heals Today

We believe divine healing is real, available, and part of the gospel. The same Jesus who healed the sick is alive today and healing of body, mind, and spirit is the inheritance of every believer.

Isaiah 53:4–5 · James 5:14–16 · Matthew 8:16–17

10

Jesus Is Coming Back

11

There Is a Final Judgment and Eternal Life

We believe in a final judgment where every person will stand before God. Those who have received Christ will spend eternity with Him in the new heavens and new earth. God made a way, and His name is Jesus.
