Designed for Abundance 1

The biblical narrative of Abraham is not new to us, but perhaps the aspect of him being a wealthy businessman is one that we have overlooked. What were his secrets to wealth and success? A closer look at Genesis Chapter 12 will also you as we read with the purpose of learning these keys and God’s aspirations for us to thrive.

Genesis Chapter 12 verses 2 and 3 provides us with insights into God’s heart toward everyone He sends out on an assignment.

2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others]. 3 And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and [a]curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you; in you will all the families and kindred of the earth be blessed [and by you they will bless themselves].

WHAT HAS GOD CALLED YOU OUT TO DO?

When God calls you out, your business, family, and life all become successful. Timely obedience to the call holds all the ingredient for your greatness, abundant increase and favors, fame and ability to become a blessing to others.

Unlocking these scriptures, I would like to point to two critical elements by taking note of the first two words of verse one and four:

  1. Now [in Haran] the Lord said to Abram,
  2. So, Abram departed, as the Lord had directed him;

Our ability to walk with God and through faith is essential to our prosperity. There is no debate. There is no negotiation. There is no evaluating. There is no arguing. Total submission to the Lord.

SCRIPTURES

Psalm 119:99-101

99 I have better understanding and deeper insight than all my teachers, because Your testimonies are my meditation. 100 I understand more than the aged, because I keep Your precepts [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them]. 101 I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep Your word [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying it].

Genesis 12: 1-4

[1] Now [in Haran] the Lord said to Abram, Go for yourself [for your own advantage] away from your country, from your relatives and your father’s house, to the land that I will show you. [2] And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others]. [3] And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and [a]curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you; in you will all the families and kindred of the earth be blessed [and by you they will bless themselves]. [4] So Abram departed, as the Lord had directed him; and Lot [his nephew] went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.

 Romans 8:28

[28] We are assured and know that [[j]God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

PRAYERS
  1. Prayer of thanksgiving
  2. Ask for forgiveness and mercy
  3. Pray: Father in the name of Jesus, give me a teachable spirit, willing to learn and change when need be
  4. Pray: Father in the name of Jesus, I bless Your name for the vision of my business
  5. Pray: Father in the name of Jesus, let my business fulfil Your desire and purpose
  6. Pray: Father in the name of Jesus, I receive favor from all my associates, customers and employees
  7. Pray: Father in the name of Jesus, breath on every business seed in my hands, let them to produce a hundred-fold to Your Glory
  8. Pray: Father in the name of Jesus, I decree prosperity, increase and life to the works of my hands
  9. Thank God for answered prayers.
